Omni Hotel hosts a High Tech Scavenger Hunt in Dallas Texas
High Tech Scavenger Hunt!
Omni Hotels in Dallas, Texas took a different approach to their grand opening. They invited event planners from all over the country to take part in a scavenger hunt that included destinations from nearby attractions in and near Dallas, Texas. The coolest part about this scavenger hunt is that it involved the use of QR codes (mobile bar codes) that directed participants to questions about Omni Hotel, Dallas Texas, and the attractions that were a part of the SCANVenger Hunt™ which included the Texas Motor Speedway, JFK Museum, South Fork Ranch, Dallas Cowboys Stadium, and The Old American Golf Club.
A Little Competition Can be Fun
What we saw during this three day event is that some of the participants formed “teams” as they searched for the SCANVenger Hunt™ QR codes to scan in an effor to earn more points. Near the end of the event, the SCANVenger Hunt™ got a little competitive once the leaderboard revealed the rankings of the participants. This resulted in friendly competition between the event planners all while Omni Hotel took the opportunity to share information about their products and services with the participants via the questions offered via the SCANVenger Hunt™ QR codes. Omni Hotels Dallas and their sponsors provided incentives to participants which helped to drive interactive impressions. These prizes included an Apple iPad, travel from American Airlines and a stay at Omni Hotel and a host of other prizes.
